For those who don’t know, Anousheh Ansari, an Iranian-born American woman and co-sponsor of the Ansari X-Prize (which saw the launch of the first privately built and launched space vehicle), became part of the history books last week by hitting a lot of “firsts”: A bird flu pandemic panic has got the news agencies’ satellites buzzing these days.
